0844 Support Number Issues - IMPORTANT INFORMATION

On the 11th December there was a fault on the national telecoms network, which resulted in our support line number showing as engaged. This is now rectified but we have retained an alternative direct dial number for customers' convenience. The alternative number is:

0114 399 0010 

The fault affected a high volume of 0844 numbers and was not a fault with Numed's phone system. We apologise for any inconvenience but hope you appreciate this was due to circumstances beyond our control.

 

Important Information for Customers Moving to EMIS Web

Please see the important information below regarding our integrated products and EMIS Web.

Automated Patient Check in System (APC)

Savience APC Software and the associated touch computers and touch screens are compatible with EMIS Web, however systems over five years old fall below the recommended specification. Please see the notes below regarding how to resolve this issue.

Prior to installation it will help and speed up the process greatly if you already have the system up to date with Microsoft Windows Updates, as these are required for EMIS Web to work and are also an end user responsibility to manage.

Install times can vary, usually between an hour to a half day, if updates are required this can take longer to be prepared for the migration.

IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE: If your system is five years old or more. The slight increase in requirements for the Savience software, coupled with the latest Windows updates and anti-virus software (if installed) can make these older systems unusable and in some situations we can't get the software to work. We are happy to make a “best effort” and get this working for you, but please be aware this is done on a best endeavours basis and we may need to advise you that we can't complete this update for you. In this situation our sales team can advise on the costs of a replacement pre-configured touch computer or PC for you.

Cardioview Integration (For use with a Biolog or Universal ECG)

Fully compatible with EMIS Web, the first installation can take longer depending on the amount of nurses that need to be setup within EMIS Web. This normally takes around 20-30 minutes, additional PC's are quicker normally taking 10-20 minutes per PC.

ECG Link (For use with Cardiosoft ECG systems or MAC ECG Machines)

Fully compatible with EMIS Web, the first installation can take longer depending on the amount of nurses that need to be setup within EMIS Web. This normally takes around 20-30 minutes, additional PC's are quicker normally taking 10-20 minutes per PC.

Spirometry (Carefusion products i.e. SPCS or Spida)

Integration with EMIS Web for SPCS is supported directly by Carefusion, they can be contacted on 01685 845555. If you have the older Spida software this is no longer being updated with the latest NICE Guidelines and doesn't have support for EMIS Web, an upgrade to SPCS can be purchased via our sales team after which Carefusion will install the link to EMIS Web for you.

(Trueflow Easy On spirometer note - this system has been designed to work with the Vision clinical system, it does not currently link with EMIS Web or any other clinical systems.)

HMS-CS for your Mobil-O-Graph 24 Hour BP monitor

This software doesn't have any integration with any clinical system, if required we can advise how to file attachments in EMIS Web but your EMIS trainers should also be able to advise.
